When reviewing a straight-to-DVD movie like "Lost Boys: The Tribe," you have to take a different approach.
In most cases, these movies are supposed to be nothing more than campy fun. Production quality is terrible. Acting is almost non-existent and the screenplay was probably written between bong hits.

There's a reason director Christopher Nolan's latest installment in the Batman franchise smashed box office records this weekend. Although there were a few weak spots in the film, it was simply a good action flick.

They all lack the theatricality of most shows that dial up the melodrama to illicit emotions.

One TV had LSU threatening to score, and yet another showed Missouri's Chase Daniel avoiding a sack and hitting his receiver in stride.

There was a time not too long ago when the 'Batman' movies were expected to be somewhat light-hearted and always family friendly.
The films, well, most of them, were entertaining enough to see, but were never really recognized in ways other than ticket sales and salon chatter about the hot actor portraying the Caped Crusader.

It's time for summer blockbusters, folks, and they've started off with a wild and fervent... "meh." Edward Norton stars as Bruce Banner, the gamma irradiated Incredible Hulk, in this wannabe flick. What this film wants to be is deeply psychological with references to monsters within and the corruption of power, but these messages were glazed over with poor CGI and a cast acting below their talents.
