Until Fourth of July weekend, the state of the American music festival had come into serious question.
Rampant arrests plagued the recent Bonnaroo festival. Thievery ran throughout the fairgrounds, and no less than ten vehicles were carjacked from 'Roo. And, of course who could forget the infamous Kanye West set, almost a day late and definitely a dollar short.

Since opening night "The Dark Knight" has become the top grossing four-day opener of all time (the highest weekend gross). It has sold about 23 million tickets and already sits atop the Internet Movie Database top 250 films list. There are enough accounts of this film that I could probably write the review through osmosis.

Keeping your eating selection interesting can be difficult in Pittsburg, especially for a college student on a budget. Some students resort to eating only ramen noodles for breakfast, lunch and dinner, which, at 18 cents per meal, is economical, though not palatably interesting or healthy.

Every semester, students empty their bank accounts or take out loans to pay MTSU thousands of dollars to attend school. Most students do not ask where their money is going because it's usually assumed that you're paying for a college education.
However, now that there is a 6 percent tuition increase for the upcoming school year, students are starting to wonder, where does my tuition go?
"I assume my tuition goes to classes and education but I never really questioned the issue because I just knew to go to college you have to pay," says Kyla Holder, a sophomore interior design major.

It's a summer tradition in many beach and boardwalk towns: you buy the kids a hermit crab in a brightly painted shell, take it home, and then, usually, it dies. You figure they don't live very long, and move on.
But for Carol Ormes it turned out to be a bit more of a commitment.

NEW YORK - If Chelsea Johnson wanted, she could get an automated wake-up call in the morning, leave her clothes at the concierge desk for dry cleaning, grab some free pretzels and a banana from a snack cart and then unwind in a hot tub with several of her friends.

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Barbie and Bratz dolls are sisters, a jury has decided in a major victory to Mattel Inc., the world's largest toymaker, in its copyright infringement lawsuit against rival MGA Entertainment Inc.
The federal jury decided Thursday that the designer of MGA's Bratz characters conceived the idea for the dolls while working for Mattel - a ruling that could mean millions of dollars for the Barbie maker when the jury considers possible damages during a separate proceeding.

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Nothing dark about Batman's first night at the box office.
"The Dark Knight" lit up cash registers during its midnight debut, stealing away with a record $18.5 million from 3,040 theaters, distributor Warner Bros. said Friday.
That bested the 2005 performance of "Star Wars Episode III: The Revenge of the Sith," which took in $16.

Hand sanitizer. USB flash drive. Magenta Sharpie. Clean socks. Quick - what do they have in common?
Answer: They're probably going to be in your kid's pencil case when fall comes around.
Long home to an unchanging bunch of yellow No. 2 pencils and thick pink erasers, the pencil case has gotten a makeover.
