Fighting off 45 other teams in a five-day tournament, the Bears secured first-place in both the men's and women's divisions to win their 10th National Collegiate Handball Championship in the last 16 years.
This week is National Eating Disorders Awareness Week and is aimed at teaching people of all ages the seriousness of disorders such as anorexia, bulimia and binge eating, as well as the importance of body image. "Eating disorders are serious and dangerous disorders that are usually accompanied by a lot of shame and, therefore, not often talked about in public," said Danae Hudson, an assistant professor in the psychology department.
Most college students find studying for exams, working on projects and trying to make it to class challenging enough, but some students have something else to juggle: babies. The number of students who have children and are attending college at Missouri State is unknown.
Sen. Claire McCaskill spoke on the need for alternative fuels and conservation during the Ozarks New Energy Conference last Friday. McCaskill, as well as numerous experts in the field of renewable energy, discussed the current possibilities of alternative energies and the developing need for them.
