Students get reprieve from financial aid office

Students whose financial circumstances have changed since submitting their 2007-2008 FAFSA may have the opportunity to get their status updated with the Office of Financial Aid. The deadline to submit the applications necessary to demonstrate those special or unusual circumstances is March 30 and could possibly change the amount of aid dispersed for this school year.

"Real Emotional Trash," the newest number from Stephen Malkmus and his backing band, the Jicks, settles itself amongst the better rock albums to come so far this year. For anybody who has followed the progress of the former Pavement front man, this album is nowhere near as wandering in its sound as "Pig Lib," yet it is also not as concise as "Face the Truth.

Greek conference at SLU proves beneficial to sorority

Selected members of the Delta Zeta sorority at Missouri State attended the Gateway Greek Conference March 1 at St. Louis University. Delta Zeta President Samantha Stiles, who attended the conference, said that it is a chance to network with other Greek organizations and share ideas and, most importantly, build a support system.

Web site is useful student aid

A new Web site, www.GradeGenie.com, allows students to upload their own personal study guides, notes, homework assignments and other materials in order to improve grades and those of other students struggling in classes. Cary Silverman, a business administration student at the University of Missouri-Columbia, created GradeGenie.

African art on display in library

Artifacts come from many different cultures

Various artifacts from all over Africa will be on display on the third floor of Meyer Library from now until May 19. Students in Art 386-Art of Africa, who provided all the information about the pieces in the exhibit, have examined these artifacts and pieces of art.
