MSU club awarded for projects

The Missouri State University Students in Free Enterprise team was recently crowned the regional champion after taking part in a SIFE USA regional competition held March 20 in Atlanta. For the competition, the Missouri State SIFE team had to prepare a 24-minute presentation highlighting key projects completed by the team this year, said Juan Meraz, instructor of computer information systems and the SIFE faculty adviser.

Taylor Health giving cheaper meningitis shots

Taylor Health and Wellness Center is offering a discounted meningitis vaccine that expires on April 9. The price has been reduced from $98 to $50 in order to get rid of the meningococcal vaccine supplies before the batch expires. "There are 118 doses left, and more will probably not arrive until June," said Connie Pyle, nursing coordinator at Taylor Health.

Workshop to focus on diversity and privilege

A Missouri State senior has organized a workshop that will focus on inequality and diversity. The workshop, called Discussion on Inequality, will have its attendees considering privilege and trying to imagine themselves in others' shoes, said Priscilla Ayala, director of diversity and equity affairs of the Student Government Association and a senior history and Spanish double major.

Church hosts international dinner

The first year in college is often challenging to international students who travel from their respective countries to study abroad. For several years, Missouri State University's International Students Services has worked with University Heights Baptist Church toward supporting its international students.
