Patrons enjoy Eagles, JQH Arena

The Eagles played at the newly-opened JQH Arena Thursday night, giving thousands a chance to see the new facility. The concert was scheduled to start at 8 p.m. and ended around 11:15 p.m. In total, 8,786 tickets were sold for the event, Randy Blackwood, executive director of athletics and entertainment, said.

Heated debate centered on the current policy in place regarding students dropping classes and the changes that will have to occur because of Banner in the Faculty Senate Meeting on Nov. 13. Payroll change leads to two checks per month

Starting Jan. 1, students and part-time workers will be paid twice a month for their on-campus job rather than monthly, according to a memo to Missouri State faculty and staff. "We thought it would be in the interest of students to have a more consistent pay schedule," said Nathan Betz, senior systems analyst for Missouri State.

On the sidewalk between Hammons Student Center and JQH Arena, basking under streetlights, sit three tents. It's 2 a.m. Sunday morning, and some of the campers have been on the scene for more than seven hours. They've got 14 hours to go. They may not be the Cameron Crazies, but these dozen or so students are dedicated to supporting their Missouri State Bears.
