For the Lady Bears and coach Nyla Milleson, Sunday was the last game at JQH Arena this season. But for senior post Maggie Dwyer, it was her last. At last Wednesday's practice, Dwyer expressed her excitement for the weekend and her thirst for one good, final run in a Missouri State uniform.
Yes boys, it's that time of year again. While football season never really dies (though for some teams, it should) as of this weekend, NFL free agency is now upon us. On Sunday, the Lady Bears ended a three-game homestand with a 69-57 win over conference rival Southern Illinois. Sophomore Jacque Griggs led the way for the team, putting up a game-high 16 points and grabbing a team-high eight rebounds. Freshman Jaleshia Roberson added 12 points, and freshman Casey Garrison scored 11 points and grabbed five rebounds and four steals.

But after winning two games the weekend before by a combined margin of 26-11, the Bears found themselves in an early 2-0 hole against Saint Louis University this past Friday night.
This past weekend, the Missouri State ice hockey team's season came to an end in Chicago against Michigan State University's Division-II club team. It was a hard-fought battle, but in the end, the Spartans were too much for the Ice Bears to handle, and they won, 3-0.
