The course, temporally titled Bracketology 101, will discuss current affairs that affect students here in Missouri, and around the nation's campuses as a whole.
College students packed into Cooper Sports Complex this weekend for the sixth-annual Frostbite Tournament hosted by Missouri State. The tournament featured 24 men's teams, nine women's teams and six open-competition teams. The open competition means the usual rules of eligibility were not enforced.
Over the weekend, the Missouri State softball team opened conference play by hosting Northern Iowa for a three-game series. Saturday, the teams played a doubleheader in which the league-leading Panthers had big innings late in the games and captured two victories.
ST. CHARLES - A shaky free throw made by Wichita State's Daria Frazier with 6.6 seconds in the game was the finishing touch to the 52-51 Lady Bears' loss in round one of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament. That free throw ultimately defined the wavering, back-and-forth play between the Lady Bears and the Shockers Thursday night at The Family Arena.
