Missouri State is now down to its final handful of candidates for the director of athletics position, which will be open (and hopefully filled), starting July 1. The five finalists were chosen out of the 103 applicants that were vying to fill the shoes of current athletics director Bill Rowe, who is retiring after spending 50 years at Missouri State, including holding the post of A.

After an entire weekend of rain, the Missouri State softball team was only able to add one more win to their record even though three games were scheduled against Evansville. It was a pitchers' duel in the opening game Saturday that ended with the Bears winning 1-0.
This past weekend, Missouri State jolted the Wichita State baseball team with pitching and hitting. The Bears swept the Shockers in a three-game series, keeping the Bears on top of the Missouri Valley Conference standings. "This is big for us," said sophomore pitcher Aaron Meade.
The Missouri State lacrosse team made scoring goals look easy against Division-I Arkansas on Friday night. They finished the game beating the Razorbacks 20-8. "I'd say that the best thing was that we didn't stop," Bears coach Austin Holman said. "We keep working hard for the whole game.
