Head coach Terry Allen announced the Bears' 2010 recruiting class Wednesday, which includes 18 high school players and three junior college transfers. "It's always an exciting day for coaches," Allen said of signing day. "I am excited about this group. We had a minimal amount of scholarships, and we felt like we really hit the nail on the head with the guys we were able to recruit.

Down 15 points at halftime on Sunday, the Lady Bears battled back in the second half and came away with an 87-78 victory over the Drake Bulldogs. The Lady Bears (now 16-6, 8-3) swept the two game conference homestand this weekend. On Friday, the team beat Creighton for its season sweep against the Bluejays, 70-64.
The Missouri State men's basketball team improved to 16-8 overall and 6-7 in conference play with a 70-52 victory over Creighton Saturday night at JQH Arena. "For us, that's what I'm accustomed to seeing defensively," coach Cuonzo Martin said. "I want to be a really good scoring team, to score the basketball with guys that can make plays, but I also want to be a good defensive team.
Hard hits and tough goaltending served as the winning formula that allowed the Ice Bears to capture two important wins over the weekend against Texas Tech. "I thought we played better as the weekend went on," head coach Mike Schroeder said. Ice Bears won 3-1 on Friday night and kept up the hitting on Saturday night to help them to the 4-1 victory.
