Limited flu vaccine still available for students
Flu cases are occurring frequently now in the Springfield area. Flu shots can still be administered at Taylor Health and Wellness Center Monday through Friday from 8 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 4:30 p.m. while the supply lasts. All full-time employees and their dependents who are on the University insurance may receive the shot without charge.
Blood drive aims to rebuild blood supply
The American Red Cross Blood Services and SMS are having a blood drivefrom 12 to 6 p.m. from Feb. 12 through Feb. 14 in the PSU Ballroom. All donors will receive a T-shirt and snacks.
Student searches for missing wrist watch
Virginia Ford lost her gold Seiko watch with two diamonds while she walked on campus from 7:30 to 12:30 p.m. Monday between the Public Affairs Classroom Building and Cheek Hall. If you have any information about the missing watch, please call 881-0037.
Taylor Health Center introduces new dance
Neuromuscular Integrative Action is a mind-body-spirit approach to whole body aerobic fitness. NIA combines Tai-Chi, Tae Kwon-do, Aikido, Jazz, Duncan Dance, Modern dance, Ballet and Yoga. Classes will be held from on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. Feb. 13 through March 15. Participants may choose to attend five classes for $20 or 10 classes for $30. All classes are held in room 125 of Taylor Health and Wellness Center. For questions or to register, call 836-4046.
Zaki Baruti to speak about justice and equality
As a part of the celebration events planned for African-American Heritage Month, Zaki Baruti will speak at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8 in the PSU west ballroom. His topic will be "A Chronology of our Domestic and International Struggle for Justice and Equality." For more information, call 836-6618.
