Despite loss of seniors Bears aim high

Today marks the season opener for the Missouri State volleyball team as they host the Dr. Mary Jo Wynn Invitational at Hammons Student Center

The Bears take on the University of Missouri-Kansas City at noon, and then face off against Tulsa at 7:00 p.m. Missouri State will be back in action on Saturday, facing Delaware State at noon and Sacramento State at 7:00 p.m.

Missouri State lost just three seniors from one of the best teams in school history.

The Bears put together a 27-9 record in 2006 and captured their first ever NCAA tournament victory with a 28-30, 30-21, 30-27 and 30-28 decision over Arkansas before falling the next day to Oklahoma.

A total of 10 matches will be played over the two-day event. Students can get in free with a valid ID.
