They finished the game beating the Razorbacks 20-8.
"I'd say that the best thing was that we didn't stop," Bears coach Austin Holman said. "We keep working hard for the whole game."
The game began with a goal from sophomore forward Mark Jasper. It was quickly followed by another goal, and the Bears began to create a lead.
Arkansas never caught up.
"That has really been a summary for our whole season," said senior Brad Shearman. "We take an early lead and then we work to stay ahead. It takes some of the stress off of our goalie. I know he appreciates it."
Even after Arkansas scored, the Bears stayed ahead of them by scoring more.
"We needed to pick it up," forward Nick King said. "We can't take them for granted. Once you slow down, it kills you."
Shearman was the top scorer with five goals. Mark Jaspers scored all three of his goals in the first half. King scored four goals, three of them coming in the second half.
"We came out strong tonight," Holman said. "I kept telling them we need to finish the game."
It was senior night for the Bears' last home game. Three seniors were recognized: Dustin Rich, Brad Shearman and Mark Livesay.
"It is nice to close it out on top," Shearman said. "A win is definitely easier to sleep on than a loss."
After the Arkansas game, the Bears' had three more games with Division-I opponents before the playoffs.
The first game was Sunday against Missouri.
"Mizzou is our biggest rival," Shearman said. "Out of all the years we have played them, we have only beaten them once I think."
In spite of the momentum the Bears had going into the game, they suffered their second loss of the season, 10-5.
The Bears' lacrosse team will spend this weekend in Kansas playing both Kansas and Kansas State for their last two games of the regular season.
The Great Rivers Lacrosse Conference playoffs are May 1 to 3.
