Ecopalooza IV was held April 30 in the basement of The Magic Bean Gallery and Coffeehouse instead of at the North Mall due to rain, organizers said.
"Since it was raining, we really only had music," said Steve Eudaly, the Ecopalooza coordinator said.
SSF tried to move Ecopalooza into Plaster Student Union, but all of the rooms were reserved already, he said. Thus the event was forced to move off campus.
Eudaly said several bands performed including The Spacetones and the Ben Miller Band.
There was going to be more at Ecopalooza, but it rained, and they couldn't cover all of the vendors, he said.
Lindsey Berger, president of Students for a Sustainable Future, said organizers tried to go with what they could, but given the weather, it just didn't work out.
"We were collecting tents and getting a lot of community support, but we couldn't risk the equipment and people getting hurt," she said.
Berger said there was going to be donations from companies like Chipotle, but those plans fell through because of the rain. Organizers were more focused on getting the music going.
"(Students for a Sustainable Future) are done with events this semester, but next semester we will do another Ecopalooza in fall and spring," she said. "We will do our traditional events as well as others."
Berger said currently SSF is trying to get engaged with political leaders to push for a strong climate bill.
