Sports Briefs: Bears add two highly touted juco players for 2009-10

The Missouri State softball team suffered a three-game sweep at Bradley this past weekend in the season finale for both teams.
Despite suffering its fourth consecutive loss Sunday, the Bears will play in this week's Missouri Valley Conference Tournament.
Missouri State (19-24, 8-12 MVC) earned a spot after Indiana State loss to Southern Illinois and Wichita State lost to Creighton.
Missouri State, the seventh seed, will face No. 6 seed Bradley at 1:30 p.m. Thursday. If the Bears can win, they'll face No. 3 seed Northern Iowa at 6:30 p.m. later that day.
Creighton and Southern Illinois are the top two seeds, respectively, and won't play until the semifinals on Friday.
The title game is 3 p.m. Saturday and will be broadcast on Fox Sports Midwest (Mediacom Channel 51).
Baseball update
The baseball Bears lost two games at home this past weekend to Northern Iowa. Sunday's series finale was rained out.
The Bears (25-19, 11-5 MVC) fell to third place in the MVC standings, with series against first-place Creighton and second-place Indiana State still remaining.
Missouri State is at Mizzou tonight at 6:30 p.m. The Bears then have a three-game series at Creighton this weekend before returning to Hammons Field May 14 to 16 for a three-game series with Indiana State to finish the season.
