Love: a key ingredient in the process of love makin'.
Valentine's Day is right around the corner, and an oddly pungent, yet beautifully erotic scent is in the air. Can you smell it? It's romance.
Valentine's Day is a lovely time (unless you were a part of the Chicago crime scene of the late 1920s). Aside from the St. Valentine's Day massacre, the day consists of nothing but good, if not great, things. Let's start with the aspect of love.
Could there be a truly, more gratifying feeling than that of love? Valentine's Day is simply a celebration of love. Even for those among us with no significant other to share the day with, I think we can all find love somewhere in our lives. If not with a boyfriend or girlfriend, husband or wife or love-making-partner of any other kind, we can still celebrate other types of love.
You can call your mom and tell her you love her. You can buy your beloved pet dog a Big Mac or give them a good scratch behind the ears. You could write a romantic love letter to a special someone who does not yet know how you feel. The options for the celebration of love are limitless. Valentine's Day is a great time to exploit these options.
If nothing else, you can use the day as a means of ultimate relaxation. Show yourself some love. Treat yourself to a bubble bath, light some scented candles, pour yourself a nice glass of bubbly and pop in your old Enya CD. What on earth could be better than that?
I understand it can be hard to not feel down in the dumps when without a significant other on Valentine's Day. I understand the search for true love is no easy path. It gets frustrating. It gets lonely. It gets downright depressing. Keep your head held high, and let the angelic voice of Enya take you on a mystifying journey through the nuances of bliss.
Keeping a positive state of mind is the key to enjoying Valentine's Day in all its majestic splendor.
